PwC is strengthening our Financial Services risk & regulation (FSRR) practice as our clients continue to face significant shifts in the regulatory environment. These include new FCA & PRA structures; a focus on retail and wholesale conduct risk as well as greater supervision and more intensive and enforced remediation work.
Further afield, new EU regulations and global agreements enforced in UK are driving yet more reform of recovery plans, derivatives, capital & liquidity, regulatory reporting, remuneration and incentives.

Our Financial Services Risk and Regulation team is made up of over 50 partners and 800 professional staff and our numbers and capabilities are expanding every day.
Operational resilience is at the heart of what we do in Financial Services Risk and Regulation. We help our clients to manage and design everything from governance and controls to systems and data processes. And this makes sure our clients can provide transparent assurance to their stakeholders that they are doing the right thing.

Technology Assurance consists of IT Risk, Cyber and Data. This role sits within the In IT Risk service line where we deal with some of the most urgent issues facing businesses and governments today: how to make sure technology investments are adequately protected. As expenditure on technology increases, we help organisations understand the risks associated with this investment and work with them to identify the right controls to mitigate these and deliver a successful outcome. You will predominately focus on consulting engagements for clients in the areas of IT Governance, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure and numerous other IT resilience areas.

Our FSRR Information Technology Assurance practice combines strategy, governance, audit, technical and risk management expertise and fall broadly within the following areas:
• Information Security Management; • IT Governance, Risk and Compliance; • Information Risk Assurance; • Identity and Access Management; • Architecture, Network and Application Security; • Threat and Vulnerability Management; • Data Governance / Management; • Project Assurance; and • Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery.
We require experienced candidates to deliver complex engagements as well as developing market place profile for themselves and the firm and building sustainable client relationships. You will be expected to lead and motivate a team. You should have a proven track record of delivering complex engagements and have experience of developing new business in a professional services firm.
You should have significant understanding of recent developments in information security, and IT risk resilience, preferably as they relate to the banking sector, gained through either holding a position within a banking or capital markets organisation, or through the delivery of such services for a professional services firm. You will use this knowledge in the delivery of professional services to clients and to help develop and evolve the firm's services. Management skills will also allow successful project management of a number of teams simultaneously and the coaching and development of those teams.

• A relevant professional qualification (i.e. CA, IISP, CISA, CISSP, CIA or CISM) • A proven track record of experience from either a big 4 practice, consulting or from within the Banking & Capital Markets sector • Subject matter specialism in a relevant area of technology • A strong personal network and the ability to play a role in the development of new business • Exceptional client relationship and consulting and/or assurance skills • Ability to manage across multiple complex projects • Experience of strategic IT planning / Information Security Strategy • Management skills that allow successful project management of a number of teams simultaneously • Strong business awareness, sound reporting skills and the ability to work under your own initiative; and • Risk and Regulatory Frameworks (ITIL, CobIT, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS etc);
