Our Global asset manager partner, who is establishing its new business service center in Budapest is hiring a Trade Operations Manager. Their purpose is to help clients define and achieve superior financial outcomes through differentiated insights, disciplined investment approaches, and exceptional service.
Your new roleManage a team of Trade Operations analysts responsible for the smooth execution of all trade lifecycle processes across a wide range of asset classes and products. The team’s scope covers Trade Affirmation & Capture, Settlement & Cashflows, Collateral & Margin, Complex Securities & Derivatives, OTC Operations, Listed Trade Operations, Listed Derivatives & ETD Operations, and Loans Operations. The Manager will uphold operational excellence, strengthen risk controls, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Trade Operations professionals, ensuring strong coverage across all operational functions.
- Oversee the full trade lifecycle, including trade affirmation & capture, settlement & cashflows, collateral and margin processes, and operational support for listed and OTC derivatives as well as loans.
- Assess new markets, instruments, investments, and complex or non‑standard requests in line with Operations Governance procedures; collaborate internally and with service providers to deliver solutions and implement operational enhancements.
- Define, implement, and maintain best‑practice methodologies within Trade Operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all trade‑related activities, maintaining high standards of data integrity and operational control.
- Partner with Operations Leadership to refine the operating model, drive process improvements, and support strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with portfolio management, technology, compliance, legal, and risk teams to design and implement robust procedures and controls.
- Lead and support operational projects, including process design, testing, and system enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements, representing Trade Operations during audits and regulatory reviews.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as an escalation point for complex operational issues.
- Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with best practices.
- Perform additional duties as required.
What you need to succeed:
- Extensive experience across the full Trade Operations spectrum, including trade affirmation & capture, settlement & cashflows, collateral & margin, complex securities & derivatives, OTC and listed products, ETD operations, and loans.
- Proven ability to manage and develop teams within financial services or asset management.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement efficiency‑enhancing and risk‑reducing process improvements.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and guide teams while fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Strong teamwork orientation and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Experience liaising with clients, brokers, and custodians to resolve operational issues
