The Risk group within Consulting at PwC is looking for a number of risk management staff to supplement its risk management frameworks team (RMF). The roles are required to expand and strengthen our financial services client base. Key areas covered by the RMF group are:
• Build frameworks that allows for the execution of our client's strategy in a risk constrained environment, through helping to articulate their risk appetite, designing their risk management framework and their capital and liquidity frameworks
• Align the risk framework to current regulations
• Design client's target operating model including organisational structure, people and technology requirements
• Enforce the link between business and risk, through assessing and enhancing effective risk culture and enterprise risk management
• Risk technology and data: Analysis, specification, design, and provision of technology and data to support the effective management of risk, including architecture and data linkages to other functions, e.g. finance, operations
The role focuses on helping our clients strengthen all aspects of their risk management frameworks including the design of effective risk governance structures and control infrastructures to support consistent management of risks ranging from operational and technology risk to credit, market and counterparty risk. Many of our large corporate clients are under increasing regulatory pressure to demonstrate compliance with mandatory risk frameworks.
For this senior associate role, broad, or detailed specific, risk experience particularly at the enterprise risk level is required. Knowledge of risk management models is also highly desirable. Essential skills:
• Previous risk management framework and infrastructure experience
• An ability to map processes identified from a risk management perspective.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of at least one of the following areas:
• Risk governance
• Risk appetite framework
• Policy framework
• Operational risk management framework
• Credit or Market risk management framework
• Reporting and infrastructure
• Stress testing
• Capital management
• Risk culture
• Architecture
• IT Project management
• Business analysis and business requirements
• Data modelling -
Desirable skills:
Experience of performing a risk related role working in one or more of:
1. An insurer or bank
2. Other large corporate organisations
3. Consultancy role delivering services to 1 or 2
Consulting skills:
• Good communication skills
• An ability to collect and utilise current, role-relevant business and industry trend information
• An ability to plan and deliver work against tight deadlines.
