PwC's Risk Assurance team in the South East draws on extensive industry knowledge with an audit approach that is at the leading edge of best practice. Our experts tailor that approach to suit the size and nature of organisations in the region, which consists of seven offices covering Norwich and Cambridge in East Anglia, St. Albans, Uxbridge and Reading in the Thames Valley, Gatwick and Southampton.
Cloud computing is rapidly moving from hype to the must-have IT service model. It is transforming the way business services are provided, consumed and managed. In Risk Assurance South-East, we have a lot of opportunities in areas of third party assurance, cloud governance, security, availability and commercial assurance.
In the last couple of years, our Performance Assurance practice in the South-East has continued to grow and especially in relation to cloud computing related services.
As a Senior Associate, you will be working closely with your engagement manager to provide assurance related services to our clients through project delivery and support.
Core Skills and Competencies
• We would expect candidate to have technical background of Cloud Computing, Third Party Assurance and Security either gathered in a Professional Services environment or within a corporate environment.
• Performing readiness assessments for service organisations that may need an opinion level report in the future.
• Performing third party and other opinion-level services in response to service organisation requests from customers for information about internal controls, business results and operations.
• Assisting our clients in leveraging their technology investments to help establish, optimise, and sustain a real-time controls environment at an enterprise level.
• Assisting our clients in optimising their risk and internal control activities, including control effectiveness and optimisation activities.
• Establishing IT is aligned to organisational strategy, responsive to a changing business climate, with clearly defined policies and procedures.
• Supporting controls and systems related aspects of internal audits and external financial audits in the areas of planning, audit strategy, scoping, execution, and deficiency evaluation.
The following skills are required for this role:
Essential skills needed for the role:
• ACA, CISA or other relevant qualifications.
• Demonstrates skills and abilities related to controls around compliance and operational processes within a professional services firm or large enterprise as a consultant, auditor or business process specialist, including business process and IT management controls, which includes a proven record of success with managing the following:
• Performing IT related controls advisory or assurance projects associated with systems implementations, business process transformation projects, external audits, internal audits and service organization controls reports (e.g., SSAE 16, ISAE 3402 etc);
• Abilities to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff;
• Helping in identifying and addressing client needs, as well as developing and sustaining deep client relationships;
• Exhibiting extensive project management skills related to IT audit projects, including assisting in developing and overseeing the successful execution of project plans, budgets, deliverables, staffing, billing and collections; and
• Assisting in the adaption a work program and practice aid to create tailored solutions for our clients.
