Vacancy: Technical Associate - Structural Engineering

Our client is an international award-winning multi-discipline engineering Consultancy with ambitious plans for growth. They are looking for a Technical Associate to join their expanding structural team in Central London.

The role will provide operational management support to the Divisional Director and offer effective technical leadership of the Engineering team.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment, performance, work and development of others, providing guidance and training

The development and/or implementation of plans for the longer-term benefit to the company

Setting and meeting agreed budgets

Financial performance in specified areas. (e.g. healthy profit / cash flow)

Procuring work (Negotiating significant contracts/agreements with customers and or suppliers)

Accountable for meeting agreed deadlines

Represents the company at internal and external meetings

Responsible for negotiating significant contracts / agreements with customers and / or suppliers

Direct and supervise other Designers/Drafters activities as required

Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and

Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment for simulation purposes

Prepare engineering design documents

Apply expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structures

Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings

Undertake liaison and coordination with other designers, including architects, and other engineers

Liaise with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound

Examine structures at risk of collapse and advise how to improve their structural integrity

Demonstrate capability and experience in managing and performing projects

Requirements:

Preferred candidate must hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Have 10 years' minimum experience in an engineering Consultancy

Remuneration:
