The UK Transfer Pricing network comprises 150 dedicated transfer pricing specialists and is looking for further Managers to join us in order to meet the continually growing demand for the network's specialist services. We are looking for self-starting individuals who are happy to take responsibility, want to work in a challenging environment and have the flexibility to work on multiple engagements with different client project teams on a simultaneous basis.
Successful candidates will have a strong track record of working effectively on complex client projects, and extensive proven transfer pricing experience. Evidence of an interest in how businesses operate across the value chain, strong project management experience and a high level of client contact would be an advantage. Similarly, if you have a background In economics or business consulting, this would be a plus, but is not a prerequisite for the role.
Opportunities exist in teams based in a number of UK locations and some opportunities for industry sector specialism are available.
About the role
The UK transfer pricing network has experienced strong growth in recent years, providing opportunities for significant progression and development as well as opportunities for overseas secondments to support the very strong transfer pricing global network. The network also has a track record of providing team members with client secondments within the UK and overseas. The network advises the biggest global organisations and serves many of PwC's most iconic clients as well as many small entrepreneurial operations. The work undertaken by the team encompasses all aspects of transfer pricing from planning, through defence and implementation and extends to the pricing of debt, permanent establishment issues and business restructuring.
As a Manager and/or Senior Manager you will be given the freedom to lead and manage projects and initiatives, but with strong support at the Director and Partner level.

The following skills are required for this role:
Essential skills:
• A track record of completing complex projects for businesses
• A track record of delivering high quality work for clients; demonstrating an understanding of the client's business and relevant professional standards and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Experience in leading teams; respecting and valuing all people and encouraging different perspectives.
• Experience in building internal and external relationships and networks.
• An ability to plan and deliver work against tight deadlines.
• Developed communication skills, specifically including written communications and negotiating with and influencing others.
• Evidence of strong analytical skills
• A track record of providing meaningful feedback to help others improve and develop.
• An ability to take advantage of new opportunities for learning, sharing new knowledge; being intellectually agile and able to think creatively.
• An ability to promptly address problems and maintain professional standards.
Desirable skills:
• An ACA or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential
• Background in economics and/or an MBA desirable but not essential
