Our Financial Reporting team is moving to our Head Office in Swindon. The move means that we have a number of opportunities across a range of project and finance disciplines. In this instance the relocation has led to an opportunity for a 12 month fixed term role.

Who we're looking for

We're keen to hear from those with a breadth of experience managing projects in a finance and accounting arena. Although not essential, a Financial Services background would help you as you'll understand financial services regulations, control and risk management. Chances are that you'll hold a Prince 2 or equivalent qualification and have experience in developing effective finance processes and systems and possibly be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA etc).

You need to be able to talk to people, build a rapport and record all that is needed. You'll need to be organised enough to stay on top of things and pragmatic enough to make sure you see things through to completion. Most importantly you'll be dissatisfied with average and constantly drive for better.
What you'll be doing

This is a rare opportunity to join our specialist finance project and systems team (team of 11) and help deliver strategic direction for our Financial Reporting division. You'll manage a portfolio of corporate change activities and also manage defined local change initiatives in FR&T division. The budgets for these projects will range from £1million to £5million in value. Working closely with your manager you'll analyse problems and look for commercial solutions. This role will keep your mind active and you'll have to utilise both your breadth of knowledge within project management and accounting systems and your networks to find the correct solutions.

More specifically on a day to day basis you'll;

•Manage a portfolio of project engagements from our Transformation division into Finance.
•Undertake external project impact assessments and internal scoping agreement.
•Maintain effective relationships with key contacts (suppliers, providers, staff).
•Support colleagues across the Division delivering and advising on change activity.
