Our Financial Services Risk and Regulation team is made up of over 50 partners and 800 professional staff and our numbers and capabilities are expanding every day.

Business Line

PwC's Insurance and Investment Management (I&IM;) Performance Assurance team provides a range of high quality services to top tier I&IM; clients. We work with companies to provide comfort and assurance over the non-financial information they provide to their customers and regulators. We provide assurance services in these areas:
• Controls reporting.
• Corporate responsibility and sustainability.
• Investment performance verification.
• Regulatory assurance.
We have a strong presence in the asset management controls reporting market, providing reports to many of the UK's top asset management firms.

About the roleDue to growth we seek Senior Associates/Assist Managers to join our team.
Join our team and be challenged by a variety of work that you'll do for the excellent clients we serve - from rocket-fuelled start-ups to the world's leading organisations. You'll be constantly learning, and your ideas will be welcomed in an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork.
This broad, junior Manager role will see you working on a variety of challenging, career-advancing risk, controls and non-audit assurance assignments.
You will work with a wide range of financial services clients, from boutique asset managers to large multinationals.
In your role you will gain exposure to senior management throughout the business, while yourself being responsible for supervising and coaching junior colleagues.
Here are some of the responsibilities and typical work you will be charged with in the role:
• Controls Reporting: Provide independent assurance on clients' internal & outsourced controls.
• Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CSR): Provide internal and external stakeholders with comfort over a client's corporate responsibility and sustainability measures. PwC in the UK is the leading firm in CSR reporting in the UK, providing assurance opinions on 17 of the FTSE 100 CSR reports.
• Investment Performance Measurement. Calculate and present Investment management firms' historical data on investment performance in accordance with recognised international standards such as GIPS®
• Regulatory Assurance: Work with clients to help them report with confidence to stakeholders on their compliance with regulation and their controls over the management of regulatory data.
Essential skills:
• Tertiary qualification. Typically in Mathematics or Accounting, CSR, Land or Social Science, and/or have attained the ACA qualification or equivalent.
• External auditing experience, including evaluating controls over financial and/or operational processes.
• Supervision/coaching of junior members of staff.
• Demonstrable project management and analytical skills.
• Flexibility to travel to some extent in the UK and overseas.
• Flexibility to work to tight deadlines when necessary.
• Experience of developing strong relationships with client and internal stakeholders. • Strong presenting and report writing skills.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, e.g. ISAE 3402, SSAE 16, AAF 01/06, GIPS®
• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry & the operations & technology employed by participants.
