The Risk Assurance group partner with clients to
improve their risk profile by strengthening their internal controls and risk
management processes. This includes identifying priority areas of risk and
process improvement by understanding the organisation's systems, objectives,
risks, control framework and regulatory environment to prevent future loss.
Responsibilities include:
• Under the direction of a manager and partner, executing annual internal audit & business process review plans • Advising & assisting in the development of internal audit & risk management strategies and methodologies • Liaising with clients and developing client relationships • Managing the execution of internal audit projects including documentation, identifying controls and performing tests for effectiveness & efficiency
Education & Experience
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, IT or a related discipline • Experience working on internal controls and/or audit function
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with impact to both internal and external clients and staff • Knowledge of, and experience in internal audit, controls, risk & business processes • Strong client service mindset and experience dealing with clients • Ability to be agile in changing circumstances both internally and externally when dealing with client issues • A team player with strong time and project management skills • Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff is desirable
