Mail Engineer

We are looking for three Mail Engineers to join our team in Hungary, providing operational support for enterprise email infrastructure across EMEA, with a particular focus on EU Access datacenter email traffic and additional support for other Ariba datacenters.This role is suited to an engineer with strong hands-on experience in email infrastructure, SMTP and mail-flow troubleshooting, who enjoys investigating complex technical issues and maintaining reliable, secure production services.

Tasks:

• Provide operational support for email traffic across EU Access and other Ariba datacenters.
• Monitor and troubleshoot email delivery, SMTP and mail-routing issues.
• Investigate complex incidents using email headers, system logs and monitoring data.
• Support SMTP server deployment, administration and infrastructure configuration changes.
• Manage email authentication controls, including SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
• Work with DNS and load-balancing components supporting email delivery.
• Perform certificate rotations, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Handle incidents and service requests, following established operational and change-management processes.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise email infrastructure.
• Solid knowledge of Postfix and SMTP.
• Good understanding of DNS and its role in email delivery.
• Experience troubleshooting complex mail-flow and email deliverability issues.
• Ability to analyse email headers, system logs and monitoring data.
• Knowledge of SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
• Experience with load balancing in an email infrastructure context.
• Experience supporting production environments and managing incidents.
• Familiarity with infrastructure changes, certificate management and security maintenance.

Experience with Splunk, large-scale enterprise email environments, enterprise DNS platforms and vulnerability management would be an advantage. Familiarity with Ariba or similar enterprise application environments is also welcome.
