We are looking for a Local Procurement Manager to join the team in Polgárdi and take ownership of all site-related procurement activities, ensuring cost efficiency, process compliance, and strong supplier relationships.
Tasks:
- Manage full procurement of production and non-production materials for the site (excluding logistics scope)
- Act as the first procurement contact for all local and supplier-related topics and escalations
- Maintain strong collaboration between the local site and the regional procurement lead
- Support supply chain and operational teams with all procurement-related matters
- Conduct RFQs, tenders, and auctions; evaluate offers and approve purchase orders
- Ensure adherence to corporate procurement policies and standards
- Lead or support local supplier change and improvement projects as part of the “Change Committee”
- Maintain and update procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier databases in SAP
- Prepare cost analyses, performance reports, and KPI tracking for senior management
- Supervise and coordinate the work of one procurement administrator
- Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency initiatives across the site
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Business Engineering, or a related field (mandatory)
- Minimum 4 years of relevant procurement experience in an international industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong SAP and SAP BW knowledge (SAP HANA experience is a plus)
- Solid understanding of RFQ, tender management, and supplier performance processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (spoken & written)
- Advanced analytical and project management skills
- Confident handling of conflicts and issue resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 4–5 times per year to Germany or Austria, weekdays only)
