Reconciliation Analyst

Your new company 

Our Global asset manager partner, who is establishing its new business service centre in Budapest, is hiring a Reconciliations Team Lead in the Global Operations department. Their purpose is to help clients define and achieve superior financial outcomes through differentiated insights, disciplined investment approaches, and exceptional service. 

Your new role 

You’ll be the key point of contact for investment teams, custodians, accounting partners, and technology stakeholders — ensuring high‑quality data and smooth end‑to‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily Investment Accounting reconciliation processes across multiple asset classes.
• Perform cash, position, transaction, performance, and market value reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR).
• Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation breaks promptly, escalating issues according to control procedures.
• Complete reconciliations accurately and on time, maintaining strong data quality and operational controls.
• Support reconciliations across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other asset types following defined procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and control gaps, recommending improvements to the Team Lead or Manager.
• Contribute to operational projects, system enhancements, and process changes, including testing and implementation.
• Follow internal policies and regulatory requirements, supporting audits and reviews when needed.

What you'll need to succeed 

• Significant experience across the full spectrum of reconciliation processes, including cash and position custody reconciliation, market value reconciliation, accounting to investment reconciliations
• Familiarity with reconciliation systems such as TriResolve and accounting standards
• Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
