Production Planner

 We are looking for a Production Planner to join our Supply chain team; which is located in Kaposvár, Hungary.

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • experience from glass manufacturing is a great asset
  • Bachelor degree is a must (ideally in Industrial Engineering or Supply chain management)
  • SAP knowledge
  • confident English language skills
  • quick thinker, great team player
  • ability to multitask

Job Description

  • Carry out necessary activities in line with the objectives of implemented management system standards, including Information Security, Quality, Energy, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety, and Food Safety.
  • Complete all assigned awareness trainings related to these management systems.
  • Be familiar with and act in accordance with relevant corporate policies.
  • Fulfill responsibilities related to Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) initiated within their department.
  • Report any identified or communicated information security breaches to the Department Manager and/or the Information Security Management System Officer.
  • If trained as an internal auditor, participate in internal audit planning and perform assigned audit tasks.
  • Attend all mandatory and assigned trainings and meetings, and provide feedback as required.
  • Support the onboarding and orientation processes of peers at the same level.
  • Ensure timely submission of annual leave requests within the designated timeframes.
  • Collaborating with internal production teams and external contract manufacturers to prepare the Rough-Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP) based on the supply plan developed by the Supply Network Planning team.
  • Revising the supply plan and developing alternative supply scenarios based on RCCP outputs.
  • Developing capacity profiles, calculating capacity requirements, and balancing demand with resource capacity to prevent undercapacity or overload situations.
  • Updating and finalizing the supply plan based on feedback from internal production and contract manufacturers.
  • If MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) levels fall below target thresholds, obtaining demand forecasts from S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) and initiating alternative supply planning actions (e.g., DDMRP usage, inventory target updates).
  • Executing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to enable material planning and detailed scheduling, including generating planned production orders for internal manufacturing and purchase orders for contract manufacturing.
  • Rebalancing the Master Production Schedule to reduce capacity bottlenecks.
  • Informing logistics to initiate material transfers to contract manufacturing sites for purchase orders.
  • Monitoring adherence to the Master Production Schedule and tracking the status of internal and contract manufacturing orders; notifying relevant planners when rescheduling is required.
  • Sharing best planning practices with other production planners under the guidance of the Supply Planning Manager, and working on projects to consolidate planning practices and standardize tools and capacity usage across the company.
  • Developing and implementing new production flow planning procedures that significantly improve productivity and capacity utilization.
  • Collaborating with material planning and detailed scheduling teams on inventory optimization efforts and working toward inventory reduction.
  • Maintaining active communication with the Supply Planning Manager to ensure mutual alignment on tasks and performance expectations.
  • Completing tasks assigned by the Supply Planning Manager in a timely manner and at the expected quality level.
  • Participate in production planning projects led by the Supply Chain Development and Integration team.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning Manager for the creation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports and analyses, and support the maintenance of these reports.
  • Assist the Supply Planning Manager in identifying corrective actions and/or providing operational insights for unmet performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Timely escalate any issues to the Supply Planning Manager and contribute to the resolution process through discussion and collaboration.
  • Collaborate and interact, when necessary, with employees from other factories or regions within the supply chain network.
