Linux Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Medior Linux Systems Administrator. Join our international partner's IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic oversight, administration, and continuous improvement of our Linux-based systems across the enterprise. 

Key Responsibilities in the Linux System Administration position:

• Administrate and maintain over 1,000 Unix/Linux systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Serve as the lead administrator for Linux endpoints, including both servers and workstations, in accordance with organisational policies and standards.
• Monitor system health and performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Experience in Policy Development and Compliance fields,
• Ensure all Linux systems adhere to internal security and operational compliance requirements.
• Responsible for strategic planning and implementation
• Partner with Platform Engineering and Development teams to define project scope, requirements, and implementation plans.
• Oversee pilot projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation of initial use cases.
• Maintain accurate inventory and asset tracking for Linux devices involved in pilot and production environments.
• Automation and Configuration Management 

Requirements for the Linux Administration role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Linux systems in an enterprise environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux system administration, security practices, and endpoint management tools.
• Proficiency in system hardening, VM configuration, and patch management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting for system configuration and deployment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across functional teams.
• Demonstrated project management capabilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
