Our client is the global marketplace for fine wine and spirits, connecting collectors, investors, and merchants through their proprietary technology platform.

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play an important role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines that support business intelligence, trading operations, and customer insights across a truly global ecosystem.

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SQL-based ETL processes.

• Support data modelling, transformation, and integration from various sources into Azure Synapse and Databricks.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, addressing performance and data integrity issues proactively.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide timely access to clean, structured, and reliable datasets.

• Implement data quality checks and validation routines aligned with data governance and compliance standards.

• Document technical workflows and contribute to ongoing improvements in data architecture and processes.

Elvárások / Requirements

• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation

• Understanding of data modelling and relational databases

• Basic knowledge of Python for data workflows

• Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

• Clear communication and cross-team collaboration

• Awareness of data security and compliance (e.g. GDPR)

• Motivation to learn in a modern cloud-native environment

Desirable:

• Exposure to Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Power BI

• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms

• Familiarity with CI/CD or data versioning tools
