Packaging Engineer
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee and actively manage the end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement process.
- Serve as the interface between the Professional Division and global sourcing teams, defining and implementing procedures, processes, and strategies.
- Conduct RFI/RFQ/RFPs for projects requiring multiple bids, ensuring the selection of the highest quality suppliers, and provide thought leadership during regular supplier evaluations.
- Negotiate and implement commercial agreements and contracts to ensure business continuity.
- Establish strong vendor relationships, manage the category supply base effectively, perform advanced negotiations to achieve annual savings, and oversee the selection of key vendors.
- Direct major contract negotiations with suppliers to stabilize commercial relationships and ensure obligations are met.
- Maintain Purchase Info Records, Master Data, and ERP files with high data accuracy.
- Organize and lead regular business reviews (QBRs) with strategic suppliers to track, report, and drive continuous improvement in vendor performance metrics.
- Conduct comprehensive supplier analysis and screening, develop strategies with key business partners.
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies in alignment with the product roadmap and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Identify, track, and evaluate market changes and new technologies, making fact-based recommendations for adoption.
- Influence key stakeholders to secure resources for risk mitigation, savings projects, and sourcing strategy.
- Lead cross-functional Raw Material Risk Management negotiations to reduce supply risk and ensure continuous material availability.
- Implement supply assurance and inventory flexibility programs (VMI) to increase flexibility and minimize liabilities.
- Commit to sustainability by evaluating and implementing CO₂ reduction strategies with main packaging suppliers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Proficiency in English and Hungarian, both written and verbal.
- Innovative approach to strategic sourcing and supplier relations.
- Excellent data analytics and presentation skills.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Global category operations or sourcing experience, preferably in Europe.
- Minimum 5+ years of procurement/operations experience.
- Experience in sourcing and negotiating direct materials and finished goods using strategic category management techniques.
