BI Specialist

We are looking for a BI Specialist for our partner's Budapest office to design and optimise data models and create interactive dashboards that drive data-based decisions.
The ideal candidate has strong Power BI expertise, analytical skills, and can turn complex business needs into clear, actionable insights.
As a BI Specialist, you will:

• Design and optimise Power BI data models using best practices (e.g., star schema), ensuring performance and integrating data from diverse sources like SQL, APIs, Excel, and cloud services.
•  Create interactive dashboards and reports with actionable insights, applying advanced DAX calculations and adhering to usability and design standards.
•  Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security through row-level security, role-based access, and collaboration with data engineering for reliable pipelines.
•  Partner with business units to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
•  Stay updated on Power BI trends and best practices, recommending enhancements to dashboards and reporting processes.

What you will need to succeed: 

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and data modelling.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (desired).
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Nice to have Power BI Cloud experience.
