Feladatok:
- Support the Budapest-based Finance team with financial reporting to key stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of various financial reports, including statutory financial statements, entity reviews, board packs, and regulatory returns (e.g., KSH statistical reporting)
- Monthly variance analysis of entity results to identify and explain key movements
- Collaborate with the wider EMEA team (Edinburgh and beyond) and build working networks across Finance, Tax, Legal, and Operations to share information and broaden knowledge.
- Contribution with process improvement initiatives, including standardisation projects and exploring technology solutions (e.g., Excel macros & AI tools) to streamline reporting workflows.
- Get involved in various ad hoc tasks and strategic projects
Elvárások:
- Ongoing university studies with at least one year completed, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- The position is open for applicants with active or passive student status for at least one more year
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, such as financial statements and profit & loss reports
- Fundation level of accounting knowledge (i.e. income statement and balance sheet)
- Comfortable using Excel (e.g., lookups, SUMIF) and overall confidence working with data
- Confident using PowerPoint to produce clear, well-formatted outputs for senior stakeholders
- Ability to learn quickly and working as a team to deliver insightful messaging
- Strong teamwork and communication skills – you’ll be part of a supportive, close-knit team
- Eagerness to grow and learn through hands-on experience in regulatory, statistical, and internal reporting
- Willingness to take ownership and the opportunity to present insights to senior management
- A curiosity for technology and innovation — interest in how tools like AI, automation, and data visualisation can improve financial reporting processes
