Our partner, who is a leading provider of business and immigration services for foreigners, is looking for a new accountant colleague in Budapest. 

Your new role 

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated professional with a chartered accountant certificate and relevant experience, who is eager to work in a truly international environment.

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting tasks to ensure compliance with Hungarian taxation and accounting regulations (local GAAP).
• Handle payroll processing and related administrative duties (optional, based on candidate’s experience).
• Collaborate on all accounting and taxation matters, providing guidance to account managers on basic client tax-related enquiries.
• Support internal financial control and reporting, including P&L statements, ad-hoc analyses, cost forecasts, and profitability assessments.
• Communicate relevant regulatory changes to colleagues and clients, and proactively implement necessary procedural updates.
• Represent the company at the tax authority when required.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and related reports accurately and on time.

What you'll need to succeed 

• A certified accountant qualification or an equivalent credential (OKJ).
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in accounting.
• Practical knowledge and involvement in tax authority (NAV) audits.
• Clear and professional communication skills in both Hungarian and English, written and spoken.
