The Pay, Performance and Risk (PPR) team is part of PwC's rapidly growing Human Resource Services (HRS) practice. PPR provides specialist advice to organisations to enable them to manage their People Costs within the P&L;, whilst ensuring a reward package which is fit for purpose. We advise a wide range of national and global clients on all aspects of reward strategy, underlying compliance and governance in many areas and operational efficiency.
This specialist advice includes:
• Advising clients of potential pay and benefit options (for Executives and on an All Employee Basis) • Design and implementation of a range of structures including share based reward, salary sacrifice, flexible benefits etc. • Providing advice to large employers in respect of PAYE and NIC matters. • Assisting clients with HMRC investigations and liaising with the tax authorities on their behalf. • Providing advice on the tax/NIC treatment of non-cash remuneration. • Undertaking large projects where HMRC requirements have to be met. • Developing expenses & benefits policies and procedures on behalf of clients. • Supporting larger employers with the implementation of their solutions to payroll, pension auto enrolment, and flexible benefits. • Due diligence work in order to identify any material exposure to unpaid tax/NIC which may affect the proposed transaction eg acquisitions or mergers. • Consulting with clients on car scheme structures as well as compliance with CIS.
The team require a Senior Associate (but may suit Manager) to:
• Work with our clients with the increased level of HMRC scrutiny around employment taxes and take advantage of the market opportunity that this creates. • To undertake the day to day delivery of projects, supported by our Senior Managers. • To develop and manage the current and future junior members of the team to increase their effectiveness and improve the leverage within the team. • To support the senior members of the team to target employers in the region with a view to developing new projects. • Identify opportunities for the team to provide further services to clients or other parties.

• To manage a portfolio of diverse client projects and own the deliverables and the revenues • Supporting business development undertaken by the senior members of the team • The ability to build relationships with clients and be client facing • Networking ability to forge internal relationships • To represent the PPR business at internal team meetings
