With headquarters in the US and approximately 7000 employees working in more than 20 countries, this company improves patients' lives around the globe. Their growing Shared Service Center in Budapest provides an opportunity for dedicated professionals in the fields of Finance and Order Management.


The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for developing the Budapest SSC organization and culture with the local Leadership Team and deliver an aligned strategic business and people agenda.

• Develop and execute the Budapest SSC people strategy with the local Leadership Teams to develop a customer centric culture where individuals are supported and challenged to deliver operational excellence and performance delivery
• Lead the development and execution of a career strategy and delivery plan for the SSC to achieve the people agenda
• Lead, coach, develop and motivate members of the HR team to deliver the plans and priorities to agreed costs and service levels, nurturing a continuous improvement approach within all teams
• Position HR to deliver business partner support to line managers to enable delivery of the people plan, including appropriate resources and negotiating and managing outsourced arrangements and 3rd party supplier arrangements
• Manage the long, medium and short term resourcing plans, implement competency and values model for the SSC to identify and deliver strong people and organisational capability that supports operational excellence, attraction and retention
• Further develop and drive execution of the resourcing and retention strategy within the SSC, undertaking market research to attract and retain the right people talent and resources to deliver the business agenda
• Work with the Compensation & Benefit team to agree and execute a market competitive reward strategy, that supports a performance culture for the SSC and delivery of business performance goals
• Execute the annual performance management and salary review process to standards and timelines and within budget, ensuring consistency across peer populations and performance differentiation aligned to the business goals
• Provide advice and guidance to business leadership on HR policies and practices
• Diagnose ongoing training and development requirements for the SSC and identify current gaps
• Coach business leadership and key talent to build capability and skills and improve performance


• Strong and dynamic people leader with proven track record of developing a high performing HR team
• Comfortable in interacting with people at all levels, open communication style and demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and inspire initially their own team but also being a champion for the HR function within the centre
• Experience in setting and implementing HR strategic direction and solutions for the set up and ongoing running of a large operation
• Experience in operating and/or managing a European, multi lingual shared Service Centre or HR Business Process Outsourcing / Off shoring arrangements
• Effective and comfortable operating in a matrixed environment, with strong people / team management skills
• Educated to Bachelors degree level in a business discipline with post graduate qualification in Human Resources related area highly desirable
• Highly numerate - upper quartile analytical reasoning ability
• Business English essential, additional European languages also desirable
