It comprises Client Information, Firm Information, Tax and Treasury services across a variety of information related Network initiatives. This role sits within the Client Information (CI) area.
The PwC Network operates in over 150 countries and generates US$ 30+bn of client revenues per annum from thousands of client groups. The Cl team defines, gathers, and reports PwC client revenue and financial information, adopting a proactive consulting approach with a variety of Network leaders including, Client Relationship Partners, Industry Leaders, Line of Service leaders, Business Development, Risk Management, Independence, Strategy, Legal to understand and address their information needs.
The CI systems, such as the Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and Global Client Portal (GCP) play a critical role in supporting the PwC business leaders across the Global Network to define and manage their markets and service offerings, and to execute and measure the success of their strategic initiatives .
We are looking for a Manager with an in depth experience of managing the operational activities of complex systems, with the ability to design, develop and enhance them whilst ensuring data quality levels are maintained and solutions are fit for purpose. The individual will have the ability to work to tight deadlines, be a confident and clear communicator with senior people / high level clients across the global network (where English is not always the first language). The role includes line management responsibility for a team of 4 and close working with the development team and IT professionals

About the role
Management of the Global Data Warehouse and Global Client Portal
• Responsible for management of the monthly operations of GI's key systems, GDW and GCP. Produce operational performance reports to GI leadership team, with supporting narrative and recommendations/actions. Ensure the continued improvement of Data Quality. • Subject Matter Expert (SME), communicating complex technical issues to global colleagues, where English is not the first language. • Responsible for maintaining well defined documentation of the complex systems, processes and procedures, ensuring understanding and adherence in the team. Defines and interprets the system to understand what is possible to meet client needs. • Ensure continued adherence to ISO 27001 controls and procedures that support the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Reporting and Analysis
• Manage the operations team to ensure delivery of the appropriate monthly/periodic and adhoc reports • Provide regular guidance on interpretation of end user requests and security/ confidentiality requirements to the operations team.
Master Data Management / Source
• Responsible for managing the interface between the GDW / GCP and the Master Data Management (MDM) system Source, ensuring high quality data is consumed by our financial systems and exported to Source within agreed SLA. • Coordinate with the MDM Source operations manager to develop and streamline processes surrounding operational activities.
Systems Development and Implementation
• Responsible for providing guidance and expertise to territories in the development / maintenance of data feeds and ensuring continued compliance with the Network Standards. • Maintaining close working relationships with US IT and PwC India IT and having a significant input into the GDW and GCP system developments. Ensuring solutions continue to enable the collection and analyses of the vast volumes of raw data for use by business leaders across the network to aid decision making.
Responsibility for Assets and Resources
• Line manage GDW and GCP operations team as well as liaison with and influence of IT teams across the network. Take personal responsibility for the continued development of operations team members.
Customer Management
• Proactively consult with GDW and GCP users to understand and deliver on their information needs and improve services they receive. Identify and influence the choice of solutions ensuring deliverables are practicable and meet or exceed expectations.

The following skills are required for this role:
Essential skills:

• Proven relevant Finance systems / operations experience, used to working to strict deadlines.
• A high level of project management skills so as to enable the post holder to be effective in co-ordinating activities and developments. Ability to multi task across several different projects and initiatives at any one time.
• Strong data analysis skills including the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets.
• A confident decision-maker - the post holder will have a high degree of autonomy.
• Excellent collaborative interpersonal skills with ability to network and interact at the highest level across a culturally diverse stakeholder group. Credibility and skills to influence and persuade where necessary.
• Line management experience
• Proactive, forward thinking able to take both a high level and detailed view where appropriate.

Desirable skills:

• Previous experience in a finance Management Reporting role
• Understanding of the way PwC goes to market with LoS, Industry, Products and the Global Priority Account program.
• Accounting knowledge
