Reporting into the CIO of UKIT, this Senior Management role owns the innovation strategy and vision for the function, leading a team of 5 Technology Transformation Leaders (TTL) whose purpose is to discover, investigate and develop new innovative technical solutions across the business, which inspire, inform and transform the delivery of core services.
This role will lead on the identification and realization of new innovative and transformational technologies for PwC UKIT. The Director of Technology Transformation and Innovation will be responsible for the identification and assessment of strategic opportunity areas, development of new initiatives from discovery and identification through to business validation, and leading the change management required to align and excite the organization behind these initiatives. Objectives will be accomplished through leadership and development of direct reports, cross functional teams, suppliers and external partners
About the role
• Manage and lead a team of 5 TTL's; •
Shape and develop a long term technical innovation strategy for UKIT and bring this to life through agreed executions in the short, medium and long term;
• Own and develop the evolution of the technology roadmap, and identify key emerging technologies that accelerate to market; • Strategy/Positioning of new offerings/services: Builds strategies based upon thoughtful business insights and interactions, thorough competitive and market analysis and a deep understanding of emerging trends; • Understands trends in consumer and commercial use of technology and the implications for UKIT portfolio. Identifies and develops new strategic opportunities, platforms and or initiatives
• • Accountable for the prioritization of activities in the innovation pipeline, and take decisions on which technologies to progress during exploration phase, ensuring ideas progress with pace and rigor • Lead cross functional teams to conduct feasibility studies leading to the development of business cases • Champion UKIT innovation vision and strategy internally - inspiring staff, employees to be part of it and to bring to life • Planning/Stakeholder Alignment
o This role requires leadership and communication across all parts of the business, engagement and alignment of senior leaders and working through internal and external partners to achieve target results;
o Leads transition of new services to appropriate team. Ensures organizational transparency through active communication with business units and core IT functions;

o Attracts, leads, manages, and mentors employees in such a way to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of talent.


• Education Level: Postgraduate Degree (e.g., MA, MSc) preferred or equivalent experience; • Demonstrable breadth and depth of experience within a technical innovation environment; • Management of activity through suppliers, consultants, agencies and research bodies; • Cross functional project management experience with a successful track record of delivering new IT services/offerings; • Proven experience in identifying enabling partnerships, setting up networks to deliver a pipeline of activities; • Tangible evidence of defining and executing a technical strategy including stakeholder management and engagement plans; • Leadership skill i.e. well-developed interpersonal skills, specifically with an ability to inspire direct reports and cross-functional team • Strong verbal and written communicator to wide breadth of audiences including senior management.
