The Automotive Electronics (AE) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.
Your contribution to something big:
► Develop mechanical design solutions for power semiconductors modules, inverters and
converters based on MOSFET, IGBT or SiC Technology
► Responsibility to find the product optimum in complex R&D projects
► Creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings and BOMs
► Responsible for part tolerancing (based on tolerance calculation and manufacturability)
► Creating project documentation such as reports, presentations
► Technical collaboration with project members, customers and suppliers
► Prepare technical evaluations and support mechanical component and final product release
► Support activities of design and process FMEAs, DRBFM, 8D etc.
► Data management in a product data management (PDM) system
► Prepare, follow - up and introduce engineering changes into serial production
What distinguishes you?
► University degree (BsC, MsC) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
► Proven background and knowledge within the field of CAD design, Creo is beneficial
► Automotive Experience is beneficial but not mandatory
► SAP Experience is beneficial
► Stamped and deep-drawn part (design) experience is beneficial
► Fluent English communication and presentation skills, German is beneficial but not mandatory
► Self- motivated team player with strong desire for continuous learning
