Our Delivering Deal Value team helps private equity firms and large corporations to navigate the challenges of mergers and acquisitions. Within the DDV team we have a highly specialised team of IT people who work only on M&A; deals. We help clients to assess the IT implications of an M&A; transaction. We report our findings in real-time to our clients but, typically, we will also produce clear, written reports articulating our recommendations. We may then be involved in helping our clients with the post-deal implementation, advising on implementation plans and programme management.
We work in a fast-paced environment where IT is just one moving part among many others including financial, people, legal and operational workstreams. We are comfortable working with investment bankers, magic circle lawyers and C suite corporate clients - our typical IT contact is the CIO or CTO. PwC is the largest of the Big Four firms in M&A;, and we advise our clients on deals with values ranging from £50 million to over £10 billion.
Due to continued success and increased demand for our services, DDV is seeking to enhance this team via select, high calibre appointments.
About the roleDDV focuses on providing support for potential/actual transactions and assists clients in all operational aspects of the transaction, pre and post completion, including:
• Buy and sell side operational due diligence • Synergy development and review • Carve out and divestment support • Taking control and 100 day planning • Mergers & acquisitions integration • Post acquisition performance improvement
As part of the transaction process, the DDV team develops a rapid understanding of the target/client business in order to quickly assimilate the key operational issues, synergies, risks and upsides around a transaction. We report our findings real time to our clients but, typically, we will also produce clear, written reports articulating our findings for any purchaser or vendor. We may then be involved in helping our clients with the post deal implementation, advising on synergies, cost reduction opportunities, implementation plans and programme management.
Additionally, the team works closely with our Transactions Services group, which employs over 350 professionals in the UK and more than 2,500 across our global TS business. These specialist teams are uniquely placed to advise at all stages of a deal from strategic inception through to due diligence to post deal planning and integration.
As well as consulting expertise, our team members have considerable industry experience in running businesses and implementing change. Due to continued success and increased demand for our services, DDV is seeking to enhance this team via select, high calibre appointments.

Who we are looking for
We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Associate
within the DDV IT team. We are looking for experienced IT people who
have mastered their particular area of expertise and are now looking for
something more challenging. Your basic IT basics must be solid, and typically
will have been developed in a consulting firm or large corporate IT team. But
we are looking for people who can also show something special, which would help
them survive and thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. That
something special might be a further degree, or deep experience in one industry
sector, or an entrepreneurial business startup, or a proven ability to tackle
any project that comes their way.
To succeed in this role you will have:
• Strong and relevant IT experience; • Knowledge of deals, which might included: M&A;, synergy reviews and carve-outs, • A good first degree and potentially an MBA or other relevant qualification; • Good interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to quickly develop effective working relationships; • Experience of developing networks of colleagues and contacts; • Good verbal and written communications skills; • Comfort and ability around report writing; and • An ambition and ability to move beyond IT into the world of M&A.;The successful candidate will be a self-starter,
able to work autonomously and operate on their own initiative. You will be
required to work across a number of industry sectors on a variety of projects
with colleagues at all levels. While primarily based in London, our M&A;deal work is global in nature and you must be prepared to travel widely and
frequently as and when required.
