I&A; modellers and analysts support clients in the areas of business strategy, pricing and profitability, valuation, economics, transformational change, regulation and risk management. A large proportion of this work involves financial and operating analysis, simulation, forecasting and data analysis, working across all our 16 industry sectors. You will often be working in multi-disciplinary teams across a range of industries which provides a fascinating and valuable platform for building your CV.
This role is for a Consultant or Senior Consultant. We have high expectations for staff at this level including senior client contact and management of teams. The role will be based at our More London office near London Bridge, although we would expect a significant amount of travel to our UK client locations, along with travel outside of the UK as required.
About the role
You will work in multi-disciplinary teams with our clients to use data analysis and modelling to support their decision-making. You will be intellectually confident and agile, working with senior client management, leading and participating in meetings with senior people and focusing on adding value to our clients by delivering clear and sustainable benefits.
Your natural curiosity means you engage and explore complex issues, challenging accepted wisdom and showing imagination and creativity in your approach.

Day to day responsibilities are:
• Planning, delivering and overseeing work to integrate with colleagues and the client to add sustainable value;
• Acting as the key client contact and managing project budgets
• Acquiring and sharing knowledge to build your own expertise and that of other staff;
• Taking a lead in winning new work and developing the business

You will demonstrate sound business knowledge and be financially literate. You will have a gift for problem solving and possess a natural ability to express complex financial, commercial and modelling issues in non-technical language. You will have knowledge of good modelling practice.
You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of an integrated team, solve complex problems under pressure and have excellent communication skills. You will be analytically minded and have the ability quickly to assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge to deliver insights and solve problems.
The following skills are also required for this role:
Essential skills:
• Education to degree level, ideally in a finance, engineering, operational research or mathematical subject.
• Your track record will demonstrate your experience in building models or other decision tools in 3 or more major projects.
• Some experience of one or more of the following subjects:
• The development of financial and / or operating models;
• Business case development;
• Financial/MI reporting;
• Cost management;
• Customer Analytics;
• Pricing and profitability management;
• Supply chain analysis.
• Strong skills in MS Excel.
• Team player.
• Track record of day to day client handling
• An ability to communicate technical information in non-technical language
Desirable skills:
• Post graduate qualifications such as MBA / PhD are valued but not essential. • Qualifications as ACA/CIMA /CFA (or in the training process). • Modelling/analytical experience in our target sectors (Energy/Utilities, Telecoms, Retail, Health and Financial Services). • Proficient in VBA and MS Access. • Experience with other toolsets in relation to the subjects listed above including, for example, simulation packages, statistical software (SAS, STATA) and interactive reporting (eg. Tableau, Qlikview). • Experience or qualifications in Operational Research. • Experience in Activity Based Costing, Employee Analytics, Customer and Product Analytics, Simulation, System Dynamics, and demand forecasting. • Experience of supervising and developing other staff
