The Capital Markets sector, within Consulting at PwC advises leading financial services organisations. Our ambition is to be the preeminent advisors to the Capital Markets industry recognised for delivering sustainable value to our clients.Our engagements incorporate strategy definition, market assessment, operating model design, process reengineering, through to complex change programmes and implementation, These engagements span front office, middle office and operations within investment banks; prime brokers, market infrastructure providers and custodians. We are able to deploy multi discipline teams that incorporate proven methods and tools, with deep capital markets expertise. We have a number of roles available in our rapidly growing practice. We are seeking individuals at Consultant/ Manager grade, based in London
About the role
We provide a full suite of consulting services assisting our clients in addressing the challenges of entry to new markets, salesforce transformation, changing regulatory demands, strategic cost management, organisation realignment, outsourcing, 3rd party service provision, process efficiency etc across:
• The full trade lifecycle for cash, securities, OTC derivatives and commodities
• The front to back functions in terms of organisation, operating model and technology across sales, trading, risk management, product control, operations, collateral and finance
• Exchanges, liquidity providers and central counterparties

Need to travel/overnight stays away from home ?(Yes - regularly)

Amount of time client based - approximately 70% (dependant on grade)

Amount of time PwC office based - approximately 30% (dependant on grade)
• Degree educated or equivalent.
• Proven experience of building sustainable client relationships within Capital Markets institutions
• Experience of interpreting clients strategic, operational and external drivers for change, gaining respect, building trust and inspiring clients by anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations within the capital markets industry
• Experience of generating a vision, establishing direction and motivating people to focus efforts and build commitment towards achieving business goals
• Experience of developing and maintaining deep client relationships at the highest levels of an organisation and to be recognised and respected by the client and colleagues as a knowledgeable, valued technical professional
• Proven experience of being a highly effective developer of people by making time to coach, mentor and develop others
• Evidence of consistently demonstrating team leadership while managing multiple projects or complex assignments

Relevant experience:
• Possesses strong Capital Markets experience.
• Has an understanding of the current issues and challenges across the industryfaced by FSA-regulated firms and developments.
• Significant experience working within and (dependant on grade) managing large, complex projects and teams
• Extensive experience of supervising and developing team members (dependant on grade)
