CAPEX Management and Valuation Lead

Scope of the position:

MOL Group was awarded a 35-year concession for Hungary’s waste management services. MOHU (part of MOL Group) has been established in order to manage these activities and started its operation in July 2023. In line with MOL Group 2030+ strategic goal, the company is committed to be a key player in the circular economy in CEE region. MOL will be responsible in the frame of the concession of the waste collection from households and businesses in Hungary. The company will organize the pre-treatment and treatment operations necessary to meet the strict waste management and recycling targets of the European Union.

MOHU CAPEX Management and Valuation Team is one of the key pillars within MOHU Finance. Organization is mainly responsible to perform project and portfolio level economic evaluation tasks related to MOHU and Waste Management segment by developing and maintaining discounted cash flow models.

You will have the possibility to keep your finger on the pulse of business as well as shape the future of MOHU and Waste Management segment of MOL Group.

Responsibilities:

• Professionally manage MOHU CAPEX Management and Valuation department, supervise work of expert colleagues
• Perform project and portfolio level economic evaluation tasks (DCF modeling) related to MOHU and Waste Management segment
• Support CAPEX projects’ approval by performing NPV calculations for decision making materials
• Ensure continuous development and standardization of valuation models
• Perform evaluation of impairment testing of Waste Management segment, supervise related modelling activities
• Support Waste Management segment relevant M&A project valuations in cooperation with Group Strategy & M&A

Requirements:

• University/college degree in economics/finance/accounting/management
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience and 1-3 years of managing experience
• Analytical and system-oriented approach, strong prioritizing and problem-solving skills, excellent modelling skills
• Direct management and motivation of colleagues
• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, customer – centric thinking
• Excellent knowledge of company and business processes
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel based modelling, PowerPoint)
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
