Procurement engineer

Task:

Supplier Management 

• Develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local suppliers (steel, copper, plating, packaging).
• Manage daily supplier communication, order placement, delivery tracking, and quality feedback.
• Assess supplier performance regularly and optimize supplier resources.
• Conduct annual price negotiations with suppliers.

Procurement Execution

• Develop procurement plans based on production schedules and inventory levels.
• Negotiate procurement contracts to ensure fair pricing and timely deliveries.
• Monitor procurement processes and address any issues.
• Responsible for the procurement of office facilities and equipment, and assist in the procurement of production equipment

Expectations:

• Preferred relevant educational background (vocational school, technical college, or university degree preferred) in supply chain management, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, etc.
• 3+ years of procurement/supply chain experience, preferably having experience in metal materials procurement, such as steel and copper.
• Fluent in English (working proficiency).
• Possess a basic knowledge of metal raw materials such as copper and steel, and familiar with the Hungarian market.
• Strong negotiation skills and communication abilities, capable of effective interaction and negotiation with suppliers.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office.
