P&I Contract Accounting Specialist

• Own the financial reporting and accounting activities for assigned contracts and customers.
• Manage month-end close activities, including journal preparation, reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and variance analysis.
• Take ownership of contract-level P&L and balance sheet reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Analyze financial performance, identify key risks and opportunities, and provide meaningful business insights.
• Deliver accurate financial forecasts and explain variances against actual results.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand future pipeline, revenue, and cost drivers.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners, Operational Managers, and wider Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls, audit requirements, and IFRS principles.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and simplification of financial reporting processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and challenge existing ways of working.

Elvárások / Requirements

• 8-10+ years of relevant experience
• Strong accounting and financial reporting background.
• Experience in month-end close, balance sheet management, and P&L reporting.
• Hands-on experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, controls, and audit requirements.
• Knowledge of IFRS concepts and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience working in multinational or shared service environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to explain financial results and provide variance commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Previous telecommunications industry experience is an advantage.
• Experience supporting complex customer contracts or commercial finance environments is beneficial.
