Head Of Software Development

You will be joining our partner, a Switzerland-based company operating in the e-commerce sector. As an experienced Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing the company’s proprietary products.Requirements-10+ years of professional software development experience- Proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining complex systems acrossFrontend, backend, infrastructure, and developer tooling.-At least 3+ years in technical leadership.

SkillsFrontend- Strong hands-on experience with React (Angular and Svelte is a plus).- Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture, and performance optimisation.

Backend- Advanced proficiency in Node.js.- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, and WebSockets services.- Familiarity with Go for backend or infrastructure tooling is a plus.- Experience with database services (Postgres, S3, Redis) (Kafka and Clickhouse is aplus)

Infrastructure & Tooling- Exposure to Kubernetes and containerised environments. Hands-on production experience is a plus, but willingness to learn and adapt quickly is required.- Familiarity with DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, observability (logging, monitoring, tracing).- Experience writing internal tools or CLIs to improve developer productivity.- Experience with AWS- Experience with Containerisation- Experience with Dev-Environment (preferably Turborepo)

Others- Exposure to Python, especially in the context of scripting or simple AI/ML workflows, is a minor plus.- Comfortable with Git, and GitLab workflows.- Excellent understanding of Web Standards (ESM, CJS, Browsers, ECMA versions, etc.).

Architecture & Design- Strong experience in system design, modular architecture, and code quality enforcement.- Ability to evaluate trade-offs in architecture decisions, tech stack choices, and scalability strategies.

Leadership & Communication- Proven ability to lead and set code standards.-Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in English and Hungarian.- Can align engineering decisions with business goals and product timelines.- Experience in leading code reviews, setting technical direction, and cross-functional collaboration.
