Our partner is a fast-growing international leader in the subscription industry, currently seeking a proactive Accountant to join their newly forming team in Budapest.

In this role, you will play a key part in building the local accounting function from the ground up while supporting global entities and helping create scalable, high-quality financial operations in a truly international environment.

• Oversee transaction processing, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and expense management.

• Manage intercompany balances and clear complex reconciliation items across group entities.

• Provide key support on ad-hoc accounting initiatives as operational needs evolve.

• Play a key role in smooth month-end and quarter-end closing routines.

• Prepare standardized reporting deliverables for parent company review.

• Coordinate with external advisors to ensure full local compliance and statutory filings.

• Help establish and refine standardized accounting practices for the newly formed Budapest function.

• Drive optimization of our NetSuite ERP environment to support corporate expansion.

• Support post-acquisition integration and create lean, high-performing operational workflows.

• Partner directly with global Finance, Tax, and Controlling stakeholders from our Budapest office.

• Help navigate multi-jurisdiction financial requirements across an international portfolio.

Elvárások / Requirements

• Hands-on accounting experience from a similar role

• A proactive mindset and a strong drive to improve processes

• Experience working with digital and scalable accounting solutions

• Strong attention to detail combined with a pragmatic approach

• Highly proficient communication skills in English 

• German language skills is an advantage 

• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite expertise is also an asset
