Field Service Engineer - Turbine Control

Your new role 

As part of planned inspections on various types of turbines around the world, you will be responsible for the instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, including their recommissioning and optimization of related parameters. You will act as the local point of contact for your area of expertise and represent the company to the customer in technical matters. 


What you'll need to succeed 

  • Engineering and execution of modernization projects on Steam Turbines and Synchronous condenser
  • Execution of all project phases, including regular monitoring of the project for deviations (costs, schedule, quality) in close coordination with project management
  • Creation of Instrumentation & Controls concepts for the modernization of control technology on Steam Turbines and Synchronous condenser
  • Development of project-specific software solutions for turbine protection and control
  • Engineering of the control technology, performance of functional tests and commissioning
  • Responsible for the technical planning and coordination of internal and external partners (customers, suppliers, production, international engineering, etc.)
  • You have successfully completed a technical degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, power engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering or comparable education
  • Several years of professional experience desirable
  • You have good knowledge in the field of general electrical engineering, power engineering and if possible, in the power plant sector
  • At best, you have knowledge of process automation and/or electrical engineering in the area of turbine control technology
  • You are willing to travel worldwide (up to approx. 30%)
  • Business fluent English
  • German language skills desirable
