• Our client is an innovative cybersecurity company working on products for the telecommunication and IoT industries
• They are currently looking for a senior accountant in Budapest who is ready to handle the day-to-day accounting activities and to bring the accounting operations in-house
• We are looking for a hands-on owner to take control, build efficiency, and add real value to the business
• This is a standalone role with the potential to expand the team as they grow

• Transition & Control: Lead the migration of accounting functions from external agencies to in-house management; audit previous years' data for accuracy
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage end-to-end bookkeeping, AP/AR, and General Ledger for local entities
• Financial Planning: Go beyond compliance to provide financial projections, cash flow forecasting, and detailed Budget vs. Actual analysis
• Tax & Compliance: Handle all VAT, corporate tax, and statutory filings. Act as the primary contact for NAV and managing the audit process
• Reporting: Prepare monthly management reports and handle reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems 

Elvárások / Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in Hungary: You understand the difference between simply booking an invoice and understanding its impact on the P&L                     
• The "Owner" Mindset: You care about the company's financial health. You are proactive in finding solutions and don't wait to be told what to fix                   
• Tech-Savvy: Strong Excel skills are a must; experience with SAP Business One is highly preferred
• Communicator: You have professional English fluency (written/spoken) to collaborate with international leadership
• Resilient: You thrive in dynamic environments and can navigate the challenges of setting up new processes
