Our market-leading partner in the development and production of polymer-based products, which offers innovative system solutions in many areas, is looking for a new colleague to join its team in Biatorbágy. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our partner’s category strategy, managing the end-to-end sourcing process and driving value through expert contract management and supplier negotiations. As a Category Buyer in operational sourcing (indirect materials & services), you will execute tactical buying activities and manage contracts to deliver on category strategies. You will ensure operational excellence by navigating complex sourcing projects and maintaining high-performance standards across your assigned categories.

 

  • Responsible for contributing to strategy (support strategy development and drive implementation) for assigned categories. 

  • Drive the sourcing process; prepare and execute RfX within defined boundaries, evaluate incoming offers, conduct negotiations with suppliers. 

  • Determine optimal negotiation/award alternatives, award goods/services to supplier(s). 

  • Manage contracts & supply issues, escalate supplier non-conformance to drive performance. 

  • Ensure PVO transparency for assigned categories by correct material group classification. 

  • Conduct reporting of results/performance. 

  • Execute risk management approach with appropriate actions.

Elvárások / Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in an economic or technical field. 

  • Experience: 1 to 4 years of relevant work experience. 

  • Languages: High-level proficiency in English and German. 

  • Software: Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is needed. 

  • Expertise: Advanced knowledge of purchasing processes (S2C), sourcing techniques, and contract management. 

  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to reach agreements through flexibility and compromise. 

  • Complexity: Proven ability to solve difficult, vaguely defined problems that require cross-disciplinary consideration.
