Technical Support Specialist / Applications Engineer

Description: Budapest based medical equipment manufacturer is seeking a full time EE/IT/QA professional to provide multi-tier technical support to our international distributor network. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Handle customer complaints and issues, work with R&D, manufacturing and suppliers to solve problems
• Provide phone, email and occasional on-site support
• Follow-up escalated issues and replacement part transactions
• Help organize periodic technical trainings for existing and new customers
• Help prepare for certification procedures and audits (especially customer related issues) 

Qualifications and requirements: 

• Technical degree / engineering experience (preferably electrical engineering)
• Above average computer / IT skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Very good command of English, verbal and written
• Problem solving skills, ability to identify problems in complex, multi-disciplinary systems
• Agile, dynamic personality
• Willingness to travel (typically 6-8 short trips per year to conferences and occasional on-site support) 

At least one of the following is a must: 

• Troubleshoot electronic circuits and/or software
• Experience with medical electronic and imaging devices as a design or support professional

Experience with QMS / QA systems (risk management, FMEA etc.) in a technical environment.
