Tax Analyst

Tax Analyst position is open at our client who is a prestigious multinational company which has a continuously growing shared service center in Budapest.
The Tax Analyst will ensure accurate and timely VAT reporting and compliance for a portfolio of European jurisdictions and company affiliates. This includes the preparation and review of VAT and Intrastat returns using various SAP systems together with the performance of the related internal control and account reconciliation activity

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of European VAT returns and payments
• Preparation and review of European Intrastat Declarations
• Reconciliation of VAT accounts
• Investigation and follow up of reconciling items with various departments and countries to ensure
  prompt clearance of outstanding items
• Tax Audit Support including investigation, analysis and providing responses to questions from
  European affiliates and local Tax Authorities
• Building effective communications / relationships with European Tax Departments
• Working with other team members to identify potential process improvement opportunities
• Main contact for Tax advisors in applicable countries (discussion, reviews, audits, preparation
  of documents for the tax administration)
• Controls advisory, KPI reporting

Requirements:

• College or University degree in Finance, Accountancy or Economics
• 1-2 years of experience
• Fluent English
• Other European langauge knowledge is an advantage
• Accounting knowledge
• Understanding of related information systems
• Numeracy and PC skills, experience with SAP R3 would be of benefit
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to meet priorities and deadlines
• Strong interest in tax
