Key Account Manager

Position Description
Develop strategy in defined key areas
Identify and drive new selling opportunities
Develop and utilize relationships to top level contacts in key accounts. Drive for customer satisfaction and increase competitive advantage by building trust
Meet/exceed sales targets, budget responsibility for all QIAGEN products. Support other roles and develop tactical plans to maximize revenues
Plan, forecast and achieve objectives and KPIs in territory/accounts, use pre-call planning for increased effectiveness
Utilise resources and cross functional/regional contacts. Utilise CRM database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness in front of customer and aid sales

Position Requirements
Strong scientific background minimum BSc preferred or a proven aptitude for laboratory techniques
5 years' experience of complex sales experience (account management)
Excellent knowledge of markets and key accounts/customers and established high level industrial contacts
Ability to manage complex projects
Proven business acumen, excellent decisions making and presentation skills

Personal Requirements
Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills and relationship building skills
Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities and undertake challenging tasks/projects
Willingness to travel
