Wheat Breeder

We are looking for a Senior Wheat Breeder for our multinational Partner.

Feladatok:

- Conduct a wheat variety development program to adapt superior wheat, with improved yield, quality and stress tolerance
- Report directly to the R&D manager based in France, he will also interact with other technical and functional teams within the company
- Participate in, and contribute to, associated cereals projects Fluent English is also required.
- Manage all phases of a wheat variety development breeding and testing program, with prioriy to extensive field work
- Utilize latest methods & technologies to develop superior varieties suited to markets of Central Europe
- Develop knowledge of competitive varieties in the region to inform product development
- Develop comprehensive product profiles for internal and external customers
- Analyze, interpret and report multi-season, multi-location data for advancement decisions
- Oversee training and compliance with the company policies to ensure safe operations
- Follow up other trials or nurseries based in neighboring countries as well as in Russia

Elvárások:

- PhD in Plant Breeding, Genetics, Crop Science or related field of study
- Strong background in plant breeding, genetics, field plot techniques, statistics, molecular biology and molecular marker applications
- Fluency in English and Hungarian languages
- Proficiency with database applications, spreadsheet software, experimental design and statistics
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent people management skills and effective verbal communication
