In the UK our Data Assurance practice has
over 100 technical and business experts who work with our clients to help make
their data work for them. Over the past 10 years, we have created a
market-leading team who have risen to the many challenges our clients have
faced.
Businesses constantly make decisions based on the data held within their IT
systems. As systems become more complex and integral to the operation and
direction of the business, the importance of really understanding the
underlying data and information generated has never been greater.
We are now expanding our group further, and looking for people with a keen
interest in web development, data analysis, and data modelling to join our
growing Midlands team based in Birmingham. These opportunities are at Associate
level.

Requirements
• Strong academic background to degree level • An real aptitude and interest in problem solving • An appreciation for issues relating to the use of data within businesses • Good interpersonal skills and eagerness to develop these alongside business analysis skills • To work as part of a client facing team working both from our own offices and also at our clients • To have demonstrated a high level of commitment to self-development • To have flexibility with regards to working away from home where required (although the role is primarily based in our Birmingham office)
Our team develop web based data collection and reporting solutions in ASP.NET using C# and SQL Server. We are particularly interested in people who can demonstrate skills and experience of complex computational/mathematical analysis and ideally an expertise of some or all the following:
• Relational database design and programming using one or more of:
• SQL Server • MySQL • Oracle • Microsoft Access • Website development using one or more of:
• C#.net 3.5 or 4 • VB.net 3.5 or 4 • PHP • HTML • CSS • JavaScript
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering web and data related assignments to support our clients and audit engagements. This will include discussing and agreeing requirements with the client and designing and building appropriate technical solutions to meet those needs. The work may cover:
• Designing and building websites to collect and analyse data, and provide reporting • Data analysis to help identify business improvement opportunities for our clients • Data modelling • Data migration • Bespoke report writing • Data visualisation
