Store Construction Project Manager - London

The Store Construction Project Manager's mission is to drive construction for all stores of Uniqlo Europe (on time, at budget, according to process rules). His/her main day to day responsibilites are: To manage project execution through all phases, from giving inputs on the feasibility of projects till the hand over to the store management team. To ensure the construction documents supports the design concept and meets appropriate architectural and quality standards. To select, propose, qualify and procure all design elements and owner furnished materials of the store design concept. Develop a mix of suppliers that allow for the optimal tradeoffs among costs, installation and durability of materials. To develop appropriate project schedules and complete stores on time and on budget. To select (low bidding) and manage general contractors and suppliers. To support store opening efforts in partnership with store operations team. To lead post-project analyses and discussions. Identify opportunities and strive for continual process improvement. To develop and submit CAPEX budget proposals for all new stores and improvements to existing stores. To ensure timely approval and payment of all invoices in partnership with the Accounting department. To lead successfully this mission, we are looking for a candidate with an extensive background in a similar position, in retail industry, ans who possesses the following abilities and qualities: Understanding the Uniqlo Customer and Positioning in the marketplace Sensitivity to aesthetic, quality architecture Ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of complexity simultaneously.
