Senior Test Engineer (BD-01183)

Our Client has over 25 years experience and a particular focus in capital markets origination, syndication, investment banking coverage, and strategy with every one of the top 50 banks in the world utilizing capital markets platform. The company provides a platform for investment banking and capital markets professionals globally to help improve strategy, competitiveness, and execution.

Position, objective:

• Collaborate with & support colleagues in improving test process & standards
• Coach other team members in use of test analysis and design techniques
• Translate goals & targets set by leaders into prioritised test activities
• Support supervision of team in meeting goals & targets
• Contribute to plans, schedules & direction setting for test analysis, test design, test execution & evaluation tasks - in a prioritised manner
• Show awareness of risks in prioritising tasks & assessing priorities
• Log, monitor & manage defects & issues found during the test process & life-cycle Contribute to test planning & risk workshops
• Continually look to identify new risks, & escalate changes to risks & issues
• Always apply documentation controls to draft & published artefacts – & promote this discipline with others
• Escalate concerns &/or important matters in a constructive manner, backed up by facts/stats

Requirements:     

• ISEB/ISTQB - Foundation Certificate in Software Testing, Advanced - Test Analyst preffered
• 4+ years background in software testing with several years focus on test analysis
• & design to find critical defects as early as possible
• System test & integration test experience
• Thorough understanding of structured test process and systematic testing
• Strong prioritisation capability - of own tasks and influencing same in others when working as a team
• Adaptive approach to changing approach or direction
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organisational ability and time management
• Active contributor to meetings, reviews, workshops
• Natural escalator of ideas, issues, risks – or when requiring clarification.
• Test experience gained on middle and back-office processing of Capital Markets equities products
• Practical application of black-box test techniques and awareness of white box
• Supportive approach to colleagues
• Strong coaching abilities with people in own discipline
• Influencing skills with people in other disciplines
