Security Technical Architect (ED-10072)

The architect will be responsible for ensuring the applications developed are secure from threats and for the implementation of a security lifecycle for the development team.

Design

• Create and govern a security framework
• Assess the threats with applications and the potential implications of the threats
• Present the threats to managers and actively promote security enhancements to product managers
• Work with clients on their security concerns

Quality

• Ensure the solutions developed and secure from threats
• Maintain the security standards for the development teams
• Train developers, architects and QA staff on security techniques
• Review the solutions produced to ensure they have been implemented in line with the security standards

Planning, Organizing and Delivery

• Plan and deliver a security framework lifecycle for the global engineering team

Initiative, Innovation and Change

• Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging trends in security
• Continuously look for ways to improve effectiveness and productivity and provide innovative solutions to difficult problems.

Requirements     

• Degree in a technical related discipline
• 3 years developing solutions in .net
• 3 years in a security architect or similar position
• Excellent experience modelling threats and working with team members to devise solutions.
• Experience with the process of implementing a security lifecycle (eg the Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle)
• Microsoft Certified
• Excellent standard of spoken and written English
• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft/other vendor technologies
• Excellent time management, communication, presentation and organisation skills
• Project Management
• An understanding of how businesses operate and make decisions
• Strong interest in financial markets
• Proactive with a strong work ethic
• Works effectively in a team but capable of working independently
• Detail focussed
• Willing to travel regularly to the other development centres.
