Job descriptionThe Role
This is an exciting opportunity to develop excellent supplier relationships within a unique, global organisation. We're the only engine nacelle manufacturer worldwide doing business in all segments of the market, from regional and business aircraft to the largest commercial airlines. Managing our supply base, you'll be responsible for planning, distribution and adherence to schedules. Make an impact in this role, and you could find yourself developing supplier relationships throughout the EU.
We'll expect you to maintain clear communications, distribute forecast details and ensure supplier confirmation and production capacity availability. Managing our SAP ERP system, you'll see to it that material schedules are in line and fully supportive of production demands. Managing stock and WIP levels, you'll make sure stock is available at point of use. You'll be required to measure and report on a range of KPIs, and to actively drive continuous improvement. When it comes to people, you'll manage flexibility, competence and capability. And you'll work closely with managers of Value Stream and Flow, to ensure timely delivery to the highest standards of quality.
The Requirements
Naturally, we'll be looking for a combination of supplier management, scheduling skills and project management experience. Your experience includes both operational and commercial responsibilities in a context involving considerable spend. Your knowledge spans business planning and lean principles, and you have a track record of implementing improvements. With thorough understanding of SAP, ERP and MRP II, you have a proven ability to analyse complex numerical data. Commercial acumen will be key to your success. It's also essential that you have a talent for relationship building and communication - ideally including French language skills.
