Perl Developer

Job description:

We are looking for a generalist IT engineer to join a small international team developing and supporting a distributed Equity Risk reconciliation system. The team is enhancing, maintaining re-implementing existing reconciliation tools. The reconciliation tools are used by Firm Operations to facilitate the workflow, control and management reporting around the position and product reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support applications according to the corresponding client processes
• Comply with  client and TCS processes
• Distributed backend development/maintenance using Perl, SQL, java, shell scripts
• Occasionally minor C# GUI development tasks

Requirements:

• Intermediate knowledge of English language
• Higher level education in engineering or information technology areas
• MSc or Bsc diploma in engineering or information technology areas
• intermediate/advanced Perl knowledge: modules, OO Perl, regexps, testing
• strong SQL knowledge (queries, query optimization). Sybase knowledge is an advantage
• general Unix/Linux knowledge, shell scripting knowledge
• Java knowledge (data structures, OO methodology) is an advantage
• C# knowledge is an advantage but not required
