Lotus Notes Administrator

 

 

Main Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Performing daily Lotus Notes Domino administration tasks, knowledge of Domino admin processes, admin console, commands and execution
  • Performing routine server maintenance tasks, knowledge in mail routing, tracing, tracking, and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshooting R 8.5 Domino Server issues, e.g. server crashed or hung, users unable to access the Domino server, etc.
  • NSD (Notes System Diagnostics) dump analysis and console log association, log analysis and error resolution
  • Solaris/Windows as a platform (format of NSD differs between platforms) - basic OS knowledge a must, extended OS know-how a big plus
  • Fatscript know how
  • (Basic - must, extended - big plus) Notes/Domino knowledge to address tickets according to ticket routing, able to handle 3 level tickets and L1 and L2 if required.
  • Experience with Domino/LN 8.5
  • Experience with Domino/LN on Unix/Solaris
  • Knowledge & Experience in Blackberry Server Admin and SameTime

 

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in Lotus Notes and Domino
  • At least 2 years working experience in large Lotus Notes environment spanning multiple countries with several thousand users
  • Knowledge in Domino concepts such as replication and replication schemes, archival, journaling, routing, and clustering
  • Knowledge in internal and internet email routing concepts
  • Resource must be ready to work in shifts, including night shifts on rotation basis.
  • Resource must be ready to work on-call during weekends within policy on rotation basis.
  • Interpersonal skills, Communications skills should be excellent. Need to coordinate with customer over the phone.
  • Should have great attitude and flexible and willingness to take additional work as required.
  • Team Lead  – should have the team leading capability or shift leading capability. Should be ready to work as Shift Lead/Manager as required apart from technical skills. Should be ready to provide value-adds to customer at work. Should be ready to prepare shift plans, manage shift handovers etc.,
  • Manager – Should have technical capability, plus team management and project management capability. Should be ready to manage the team, do project management in addition to technical skills. Should be ready to prepare shift plans, manage shift handovers etc.,
  • Good command of English

 

Advantageous skills

ITIL Certification is preferred.

Place of work: Budapest, Hungary (Resource should be prepared to travel to Switzerland for couple of weeks for Knowledge Transfer purposes)
