IT technical support officer

We are recruiting new collegue to our client ( International Company ) as

IT technical support officer

IT technical support officers monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of our organization. They install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.


IT technical support officers are mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. Individual tasks vary depending on the current needs of the organization, but include the below:

-installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications

-monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks

-talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues

-troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults

  • replacing parts as required
  • providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • supporting the roll-out of new applications
  • setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
  • responding within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • work with 3rd party vendors
  • working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
  • rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals
  • testing and evaluating new technology, if necessary
  • managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies


  • Degree or related qualification/proved years of experience in IT/Computer Science, possibly within global companies
  • Good written and spoken English language skills
  • Microsoft or Cisco Network related qualification is an advantage

  • Working hours: Standard weekly 40 hours. Due to the nature of the work, you may be expected to work shifts or be on call. It may be necessary to work extra hours to finish a job or do weekend activities
