Our client is a Budapest Business Support Centre providing Customer and Business services for their European partners. Within the BSC they are managing financial, cash collection, credit, reporting and customer service processes. They are seeking a professional for the Group Reporting Lead Accountant position.

Group Reporting Lead Accountant

Feladatok:
  • To carry out the month end close processes in a timely and accurate manner for businesses and processes
  • Take part in month end, quarterly and year-end closing
  • Reconciliation of accounts, preparation of quarterly reports and ad hoc reports
  • Resolution of issues and queries may require reference to Group Reporting Manuals and Country teams supported
  • Prepare and review of a number of draft statutory accounts, lead schedules, directors brief, audit file, tax packs and quality control check lists
  • Ensure all audit and tax queries are responded to on a timely basis
  • Support the VAT preparation and submission responsibilities within the team,
  • Work with the team leader and Business teams to understand the priorities and work to deliver against these as required
  • Look for opportunities to improve financial processes to create efficiencies and control improvements
  • Carry out the statutory reporting processes in a timely and accurate manner to ensure timely submission of statutory accounts
  • Carry out balance sheet reconciliation and support the VAT preparation and submission responsibilities within the team
  • Support intercompany and Stats and Tax processes where required
  • Prepare and review management reports and financial information analysis
Elvárások:
  • College/ University degree in Economic or Finance is preferred
  • Excellent English and German language knowledge
  • Chartered accountant certification is advantage
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and standards
  • At least 2 years experience in related Accounting/Financial Reporting area
  • Good level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness
  • Customer- and service-oriented thinking,
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Strong MS Office knowledge
