Day to Day Work

Role Purpose:

As a member of this team the new colleague will be responsible for the scheduling and monitoring of a designated group of field engineer's within a specific geographic area and ensuring that service requests are scheduled and attended in accordance with Service Level target timescales.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes:

Dispatch - Assign Incidents to a designated group of engineers and direct them to carry out the required work within specified timescales.

Resource Management - Manage the scheduling of engineers available time and escalate as required if availability is deemed to be insufficient.

Monitoring - Track the progress of outstanding incidents and that incident logs are updated in a timely manner and to the correct level of standardization and quality.

Escalation - Escalate any incidents that may breach a Service Level timescale and follow that escalation through to restoration of the ability to achieve stated targets.

Key Qualifications:
- Fluency in German and some spoken and written English, other language knowledge is an advantage
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge/experience of PC systems & components
- Experience of incident logging systems is an advantage
- ITIL qualification is an advantage
- Active participation in ongoing quality initiatives at the desired level, detailed on the UGSH Quality Portal by considering all relevant objectives, policies and procedures.
Job Specific Skills:
- Communication Skills: Schedulers will need to speak with coworkers and customers on a regular basis (verbal and written)
- Critical-Thinking Skills: Schedulers will need to devise plans of action and asses those plans regularly
- Problem-Solving Skills: Schedulers will need to be ready when problems arise, or be ready to anticipate problems before they happen
- Must be able to adapt quickly and respond effectively to excessive daily and last-minute schedule changes
- Must be a multi-tasker and detail oriented and able to adapt to a fluid and rapidly changing environment
- Must act as a focal point to resolve issues that arise during normal operations
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have strong negotiation skills
- Must have strong problem-analysis skills
- Must be methodical and organized with attention to detail
