|Description of position:
||The prime responsibility of the Payroll SME is for the accurate and timely payment of employee salaries.
||The prime responsibility of the Payroll SME is for the accurate and timely payment of employee salaries. The expectation is that the SME will also really embrace the desire to review and change business processes to make payroll services more efficient and accurate, hereby increasing customer satisfaction. The role therefore comprises:
Establishing & maintaining payroll records
New hires / leavers / transfers
Validation of all payments and deductions
Ensuring all payments are duly authorized, correct, and technically compliant.
Includes: Statutory Contributions / Allowances / Retirement Funds
Correct net payments at all times
Validate net pay using controls, simulations and exception reports. Target 100% correct data input.
Have full working knowledge of all Internal Control requirements and ensure that all areas of payroll have required levels of control.
Payroll system knowledge
Technical mastery on the payroll systems, ability to identify and offer solutions for complex issues / problems, and to run complex reports as and when required. Fully knowledgeable to implement, test and validate legal change and lead any other business process changes.
Manage payroll workflows to ensure that all incoming and completed work items are sorted and filed appropriately and in line with audit requirements.
Process Ownership and maintaining payroll knowledge:
Responsibility of being expert in all payroll processes and country specifics, owning and updating documentation, communicating changes and providing training to other payroll team members, continually looking to improve work processes to ensure the processes are working effectively at all times.
Responsibility for call handling and email
Provide excellent Customer Service through call handling, meetings and emails
Create and distribute legal reporting requirements (Tax and Social Security authorities)
Leading the implementation of changes and managing projects to improve timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of the payroll processes.

Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance
At least 2 years experience in SAP HCM
French : Fluent
||Fluent English AND German knowledge, French knowledge is preferred
